Father Vincent Druding Biography

Rev. Vincent J. Druding was ordained in 2009 at St. Patrick's Cathedral for the Archdiocese of New York and is currently serving as the Parochial Vicar at Holy Cross Church in the Bronx, a parish that serves both English and Spanish-speaking communities. Previously, he served for almost 7 years at Assumption Church in Peekskill, NY, as well as at Our Lady of Angels in the Bronx.  Before entering seminary, he worked for First Things Magazine at the Institute for Religion and Public Life.  He holds a Master's Degree in Humanities from the University of Chicago, as well as an MA in Theology and an M.Div from St. Joseph's Seminary (Angelicum).  At Assumption, he founded Matthew 25, an apostolate which seeks to serve the poorest of the poor, and Matthew 25 also serves the poor at Holy Cross in the Bronx.  He is a member of the Corpus Christi Movement of Priests, a fraternity of priests who seek to live according to the charism of St. Theresa of Calcutta and the spirit of the Missionaries of Charity.

Fr. Druding grew up in Carmel, IN, and his mother participated in the Life in the Holy Spirit Seminar and introduced him to the Charismatic Movement.  He was baptized in the Holy Spirit by Fr. Bill Halbing shortly after ordination and began working in the ministries of healing and liberation during his first year of the priesthood.  He has been blessed to know, work with, and study among many gifted priests in these areas, and has celebrated Healing Masses at various parishes.  He desires to live and to encourage others to live life total surrender to the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of His beloved spouse, Our Blessed Mother Mary.
