MYSTERY
EVERY GROUND IS HOLY GROUND.

"Do not come closer," God told Moses. "Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground." Exodus 3: 5.



The songwriter wrote: This is holy ground/This is holy ground/ You are standing on holy ground/For the Lord is present/And so you are standing on holy ground/ These are holy hands/These are holy hands/We are lifting up holy hands/For the Lord is present/And so these are holy hands.

The mystery of God's presence is in everyday life. God is not far away from us. God lives in us. It is in him that we live, move and have our being. The story recorded in Exodus 3 relates that it was while Moses was taking care of his father-in-law's flock that he encountered God in the burning bush. This was not the first time for Moses to go through this route in the desert. He went through it daily. He was familiar with the terrain. Yet it was on this particular day that he became aware of this scene in the desert.

It was in his normal daily engagement that he saw in the burning bush. It is in the normal daily occupation and work of life that we encounter God. God does not wait until we go to a retreat before he communicates with us. His presence fills everywhere. Life is filled with beauty for those who have eyes to see. Life is filled with truth for those who have ears to hear.

There is a mystic that lives in each of us. We have a duty to release the mystic in each of us. The ordinariness of life contains the mystery. We are all saintly for the grace of God abides in us. Each of us is a contemplative. We can be gurus in the spiritual life. The Holy spirit, the teacher of the spiritual life envelopes and covers us. The knowledge of God fills us here.

To live is a mystery. To die is wonderful. Appreciate life. Awe fills me as I look at life. There is glory everywhere. Every ground is holy ground. Every tree is a tree of life. Every person is a "theophoros"- God bearer.

God's mercies are new everyday. Great is his faithfulness. Every

morning that we wake we can be grateful to the graciousness of God. God has been a faithful God. God is a loyal friend and a faithful companion. Through many dangers God has led us through. God loves you more than you can appreciate. God's love towards you is unfailing. God will never abandon you. God's constancy is more that the sun that shine daily. Even the day you do not see the sun, you know it is always there.

Every step you step, acknowledge and that God for you are stepping on holy ground. Every water that I drink reminds me of God's everlasting love. A love that forgiveth me all my sins. I step into my room; there is glory all around me. I go into the classroom, beautiful people and wonderful people are sitting all around me. Anticipate victory and victory will come to you. Complaining only ruin your day. You hit traffic, then it is time to thank God and pray for those who cannot even afford a car. You go into the shopping mall, expect and appreciate the sales people will be kind to you. Bless life and life will bless you.
