IT WILL STILL TURN OUT WELL
1: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more
sea.
2: And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorne d for her husband.
3: And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and
they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither
sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5: And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. REVELATION 21:1-4.
I am sitting and writing from the Fordham University Library. The time is about 5.41 PM. Today was my first day of summer school. As I sit and think
of what to write I look to my past and I see the many struggles I have passed through. I look to the future and I see many more struggles ahead. The more
hurdles that I cross, the more hurdles that awaits me. As I reflect about my own life my thoughts and good wishes go out to you, all my friends. I think
also of the struggles you have passed through in life to get to where you are now. I think of your dreams, desires, aspirations, and projections for the future.
I see there are still many valleys and mountains to cross. When you look at the valleys and mountains in the future that you have to cross there may be a
tendency to be discouraged. You can be overwhelmed by the difficulties to come. You can lose hope. You can become impatient. You can turn to complaining about the hardships of life.
In the midst of all life struggles I want to encourage you not to give up. Do not run back but keep running. You have always listened to my advice in the past
and I know you will listen to this too. Life can be hard but God will see you through. God will never abandon you. As you think of the mountains, think
also of the God who sits on the mountain holding the ropes for you to climb. Think of how far you have climbed this mountain of life. Think of those ahead of you who are running and not giving up.
Let us do our best. Let us use out utmost for God's highest. Let us believe in tomorrow. No matter how difficult life is, it will still turn out well. It is going to
be well. All things will be made new. Let the hope of heaven encourage you. All our efforts in this world have eternal dividends. There is a reward coming
ahead of you. You are not running in vain. All hope is not lost. I will see you at the finishing line. I am cheering for you. Your friends and family are
encouraging you to keep running. The sea will be no more. The sufferings you are going through now cannot be compared to the glory you will receive
in the future. There is a place for you in the next life. Your pain cannot outlast the promise. Your failings are only for a short time.
It will still turn out well. See you again.
