DESPISE NOT A LITTLE BEGINNING
Many great things always begin small. The littleness of a thing or person today is not an indication that it will remain small. The tallest buildings in
the world are always built from small blocks that were laid upon blocks from the base level. You cannot have 2 without 1. You cannot have 9 without multiples of 3 being included in it. It is multiples that add up to
the larger numbers.

Many of the parables that Jesus gave always relate the importance of little things. A woman loses just one of her coins. She sweeps the whole house to
look for the coin and when she finds it, she calls her neighbors to rejoice with her. The prodigal father calls for a celebration when one of his lost son
returns. The man who had one talent and dug it into the ground is punished for not making use of that little. The woman who anointed Jesus in Bethany
is remembered wherever the gospel is preached. It is a grain of wheat that dies and brings forth much fruit.
Jesus was born in a stable but he became the greatest prophet in human
history. He lived only for about 33 years yet his influence has entered into the third millennium. 12 men, together with the women who followed Jesus and
few others is the nucleus that has become today's mighty Christianity.
The Bible began as very little collections of scrolls, parchments, etc written
by often people who were rejected in their societies but today it is the greatest and most read book. John 3:16 is a small verse in the Bible, but it
is the most read and has been translated into more languages than any other verse in history.
When there is a beginning there is always an end in sight. But you cannot
get to the end without beginning. Was it not a shout that brought down the walls of Jericho? A scarlet cord that saved Rehab? A rod in Moses' hand
that divided the Red Sea. Few words from the mouth of Jesus that saved the thief on the cross?
Everything in this life matters. The sound of abundance of rain can come
from a little drizzling. Just a cup of water can satisfy your thirst. Today's tree was yesterday's seed. Today's degree/certificate/diploma was yesterday's
exams and assignments. Today's man was yesterday's boy. Today's woman was yesterday's girl. The man is already in today's child. The woman
is already in today's girl. Today's marriage began with a little friendship. The eagle was first an eaglet. The pig was first a piglet. The dog was first a puppy. The grand mother was first a mother.
The problem with many of us is that we are too much in a rush. We do not want to climb from the step below but we want to see ourselves at the upstairs. Many are not willing to make the sacrifices to get to the top.
Continue to keep the seed in your hand and there will be no harvest. Close the door and fresh air will not come in. Cover the bucket and water will not enter. Close the window and there will be no sunrays.
If you want to shine, then look at the sun. See the eagle ahead of you. Others may have reached the finishing line but your space is still there. Until you
occupy your place nobody will occupy it. To wake with the rising of the sun is a good sign of progress. If you make it you can also unmake it. You can
release yourself from that cage. You can confront every circumstance facing you. Your problem may not actually be the goliath ahead of you but the fear in your heart.
Rise up; you are already on your way to success.
