New York Diocesan Service Team Mission Statement

We, the members of the  Diocesan Service Team of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Archdiocese of New York, commit ourselves to: 

1. Serve God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, by serving the Catholic Church in its primary mission of evangelization through the power of the Holy Spirit.
2. Foster a personal experience of Pentecost through these basic elements of the Charismatic Renewal:
• committing oneself to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• being baptized in the Holy Spirit
• receiving and using the Charismatic gifts
• developing a life of holiness in a Catholic context of faith and practice
• witnessing to Jesus Christ through personal testimony and works of mercy and justice.
3. Promote awareness and understanding of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement.
4. Pastor the Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement through networking, teaching, leadership training, encouragement and promoting unity of prayer groups throughout the New York Archdiocese.
5. Foster the Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement in cooperation with surrounding dioceses, the National Service Committee, and the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Office in Rome.
6. Relate to and work with other Catholic organizations and movements serving mission of the Church.
7. Relate to and work with members of other Christian churches, denominations, bodies and ministries for unity in the Body of Christ.
8. Raise the funds necessary to accomplish this mission.
